The OWASP Scotland November meeting is now set for Wednesday 28th.  We're being hosted by Edinburgh University Informatics Department again.

Times as as usual, doors open at 6pm, and we're planning to start the talks at 7pm.

We've got two talks lined up for this meeting and thanks in advance to Jamie and Rab.  Abstracts for the talks below - 

Jamie Riden - “A short talk on web application honeypots, from history to current work and how they can be of use in researching current techniques of attackers, and in protecting web servers from exploitation even in the face of programming failures. “

Robert Ray - "Yes, Please do tell me all of your secrets. I am a nice guy, honest" - Social media is here to stay, love it or hate it. People all over the world are rushing online to connect to friends, loved ones and even total strangers, they spend many hours of their lives engaged with these interactive technologies, that encourage people to let their guard down and expose themselves to the world.

This talk will take a look at some of the potential risks that social media can pose for the business and individuals from the perspective of an attacker. With some suggestions on how to reduce these risks for both the individual and business alike
